Giuseppe Milici was born in Palermo on November 22nd 1964. He has studied chromatic harmonica with Willi Burger, jazz improvisation with saxophonist Larry Nash, and piano with Salvatore Bonafede.
His talent first emerged in his early collaborations with Enzo Randisi. He gained his first professional experience with Romano Mussolini and Lino Patruno.
Since 1983 he has worked as a harmonica player and composer for a number of popular Italian television programs, such as Serata d’onore, Fantastico, Uno su cento, Il numero uno, , Un Natale Italiano, Taratatta, and three editions of “the Festival di Sanremo.”
In 1990 Milici was Adriano Mazzoletti's guest on the popular jazz program RadioUno Sera Jazz. On that occasion he met Martial Solal, who said, "Milici has the right feeling and shows he knows everything about jazz.”
Milici was also a member of the first European Jazz Orchestra, conducted by James Newton.
Milici has worked extensively in the world of film, playing on the soundtracks of such movies as The Magician, starring Anthony Quinn and for televisions series, such as Avvocato Porta, starring Gigi Proietti and Tutti I Sogni del Mondo, with Serena Autieri. He recently played on the score for the movie Vaniglia e Cioccolato, with Mariagrazia Cucinotta. He also wrote the soundtrack for La Terramadre, directed by Nello La Marca, and screened at the 2008 Berlin Film Festival.
In his long career he has performed several times in the U.S.A. (the Blue Note in New York), Holland (the Theater Carré), Switzerland, Morocco, Australia, England, France, South Africa (the Great Hall at Witz University), Mozambique, Swaziland, Germany and Argentina.
He plays all over the world with the group Dirotta su Cuba, performing alongside such internationally renowned artists as Laura Fygi, Philip Catherine and Toots Thielemans, and receiving public and media acclaim.
In 1998, Milici began working in classical music, performing music by Gyorgy Kurtag with conductor Zoltan Pesco, and music by  Bach, Gordon Jacob, M. Betta and Giovanni Sollima with the Ottava Nota ensemble.
In 2001, he worked with popular comedian Riccardo Pazzaglia, and played on recordings by Gigi D'Alessio, Gino Paoli, Dirotta su Cuba, and Ivan Segreto. His composition  “November 64" became a theme song for cultural programs on the Italian television station RAI 3.
                                                                                                                                                        In 2002 he was invited to perform with his quartet at Castel Sant'Angelo in Rome.
In 2003 he toured in Italy with the writer Evelina Santangelo, who was presenting her book La Lucertola Color Smeraldo. The two appeared on RAI radio program Fahrenheit. That same year, Milici was interviewed by Alex Pierotti for RAI International, and was a guest of Stefano Spadoni’s on the Big Apple radio station in New York. In December he recorded the CD November 64, described by Toots Thielemans as "well played and well produced."
In 2005, he recorded the CD Beatles Jazz Tribute, which was presented at the Fashion Week in Paris. He was a also a guest on several RAI broadcasts, including Fahrenheit, Notturno Italiano, andTaccuino Italiano. That same year he played at the Blue Note Jazz Club in New York and in Milan.
In 2007, with Eliot Zigmund, Bill Moring and Mauro Schiavone, he recorded a tribute to the music of Burt Bacharach, and composed the soundtrack for the film La Terra Madre. In June, he played at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice with the Sofia Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Maurizio Abeni. In October he played again at the Paris Fashion Week, and with the Innovative String Quintet he played in some historic Buenos Aires clubs. He also received the national Franchi/Ingrassia Award and the Tricoli International Award for his music career.
2008 and 2009 he undertook an international tour that saw him perform on some of the most prestigious stages in theaters around the world, including venues in New York, Paris, Buenos Aires, Maputo, Stuttgart, Dresden, Thessaloniki and Johannesburg. Close to the popular trumpet player Fabrizio Bosso, Milici plays and records a live cd at “Casa del Jazz” in Rome.
In 2010 works with the singer Antonella Ruggiero and with the actor David Riondino, realizes the soundtracks: “Ninnarò” and “Miricanu”, is the soloist for the national tv programme “Novecento” hosted by Pippo Baudo, where he performs with Amii Stewart. The same year he realize the cd “Michael Jackson Jazz Tribute”.
During 2011 he often works in recording studios where he realizes some compilation for IRMA Record and played some duets with Peter Cincotti, Simona Molinari, Ridillo and Caterina Soldati. Milici recentily composed the original soundtrack for the movie “Il Coraggio” enterily produced in Spain, and he has been recently invited as guest of Rai 2 tv program “I Fatti Vostri” hosted by Magalli.
